Inspired by the North Devon landscape Sam Pickard has created a range of exquisite botanical and floral designs. The design concept uses bold and distinctive imagery to capture the essence of the English countryside and garden and bring its seasonal vitality into the urban landscape. Innovative use of scale and photographic imagery adds drama to any interior.

Sam Pickard trained as a printed textile designer at Camberwell School of Art in 1985, winning the prestigious RSA Design in Industry Award for her home furnishings collection.

After practicing as a freelance designer she went on to work as a print and dye technician at East London University leaving after four years to set up her own business as a designer/maker with the assistance of a Crafts Council setting-up award. Since then she has exhibited at Chelsea Crafts Fair, and in New York & San Francisco, selling to shops and galleries in both Europe and America.

In 2005 she started an MA in textiles at Bath Spa University and now 2006 sees the launch of her first interiors Fabric Collection which is equally at home in cutting edge spaces, beside ornate Rococo gilding or next to the Aga.
